Jag tycker att det låter som en bra sak. Tips kolla ifall inte någon från Sparvnästet vill vara med. Räknas alla insatser? Eller finns det något minimikrav? Det minsta vi kan göra är väl att hjälpa till och sprida och lägga upp bloggpost på svenska. Du är väl rätt bra på att skriva? En annan sak skulle kunna vara att skriva ihop med några andra organisationer och försöka få in det i någon tidning? Orkar ni inte läsa hela så rekommenderar jag slutet: "V.Conclusions and recommendations" Rapportens summary är följande: "In the present report, submitted in accordance with Human Rights Council resolution 25/2, the Special Rapporteur addresses the use of encryption and anonymity in digital communications. Drawing from research on international and national norms and jurisprudence, and the input of States and civil society, the report concludes that encryption and anonymity enable individuals to exercise their rights to freedom of opinion and expression in the digital age and, as such, deserve strong protection." Arbetsmötet på onsdag

Hej! Någon mer som kommer på onsdag? Vi har en person som vill göra något med Tor-relän. Någon mer som känner sig manad att jobba med detta? Jag kommer att jobba med medlemshantering. Först och främst uppfinna en ny process för anmälan (webformulär verkar smart) och medlems-informationens liv ett år framöver. Det innefattar koppling av anmälan till inbetalning, information om medlemsstatus, påminnelse om förnyelse och avföran ur register. Därefter skall det undersökas hur detta skall implementeras tekniskt. Finns det färdiga system att använda åtminstone delar av? Vad behöver vi implementera själva? Har inte hört av någon från webgruppen ännu. Kanske någon där som vill ta chansen att visa upp något eller bara se till att få senaste grejerna flyttade från test-sajten till den skarpa sidan? Hej listan! Här följer en sammanfattning från det som hänt inom IETF och alternativa namn för DNS. Det här arbetet initierades av en draft för få in alternativa toppdomäner enligt RFC 6761. Denna RFC härstammar från Apple när de ville reservera .local för lokala tjänster med Bonjour (mDNS). Detta gick då rätt smärtfritt. Men önskemålet som uppstod senare var att bl.a. reservera .onion för Tor-tjänster. Då började arbetsgruppen dnsop inom IETF bli lite oroliga, och ICANN-människor såg det här som en bakväg för att få in nya toppdomäner i root. Så ett rätt stort arbete har inletts för att reda ut konsekvenserna av RFC 6761, och formalisera någon slags process för den här bakvägen för nya speciella toppdomäner. Den här texten beskriver kort vad läget är. Det ser lite ljusare ut för .onion nu än vad det gjort tidigare. Men konsekvenserna genom att registrera .onion den här vägen blir att det blir en slags dörröppnare för andra specialdomäner. Mycket lärorikt om TLS och HTTPS under gårdagens #merakrypto

Under kvällen igår gick det tredje #merakrypto-mötet [0] av stapeln hos .SE [1]. Denna gång hölls två föreläsningar: organisatören Olle E. Johansson [2] höll en introduktion till samt uppdatering av det aktuella läget för kryptering på nätet, och John Mattsson från Ericsson en djupare föreläsning om prestanda för HTTPS. Det var en intressant och rolig tillställning där de 30-40 deltagarna var väldigt aktiva med frågor och kommentarer. Nästa #merakrypto hålls den 2:a juni [3] hos Upsys [4] i Uppsala. Arbetsmöte om en vecka, den 20/5 18:30-20:30

Hej! Den som vill jobba med något DFRI har chansen om en vecka, onsdagen den 20:e maj kl 18:30-20:30 i Stockholm. Anmäl gärna intresse till dfri(a)dfri.se eller mig direkt så att vi vet ungefär hur många vi blir. Om någon har en lokal för, säg, 5-10 personer under den här tiden vore det toppen. Annars löser vi det på något vis. Medverkan över IRC och ev. telefonbrygga kan också ordnas om det är någon som har svårt att vara med på plats. Det enda vi har på agendan så här långt är omarbetning av medlemshanteringen. Vi behöver smidigare rutiner för i stort sett allt relaterat till medlemskap och i viss mån donationer.
