Hej,
en relativt bra intervju med Stallman (det sämsta är värdinnan), om

synnerhet.

PS. För övrigt kul att RT nyligen har axlat "the beacon of freedom"

Hej listan! Jag har en obefintlig wordpress-baserad

"XKeyscore: NSA tool collects 'nearly everything a user does on the internet'"
"A top secret National Security Agency program allows analysts to search with no prior authorization through vast databases containing emails, online chats and the browsing histories of millions of individuals, according to documents provided by whistleblower Edward Snowden.
The NSA boasts in training materials that the program, called XKeyscore, is its "widest-reaching" system for developing intelligence from the internet.
The latest revelations will add to the intense public and congressional debate around the extent of NSA surveillance programs. They come as senior intelligence officials testify to the Senate judiciary committee on Wednesday, releasing classified documents in response to the Guardian's earlier stories on bulk collection of phone records and Fisasurveillance court oversight.
The files shed light on one of Snowden's most controversial statements, made in his first video interview published by the Guardian on June 10.
"I, sitting at my desk," said Snowden, could "wiretap anyone, from you or your accountant, to a federal judge or even the president, if I had a personal email"."
Osv. Hela artikeln är naturligtvis läsvärd. TT har sammanfattat åt DN och SvD:

Subject: Re: How to improve the TTIP negotiations - lessons learnt from
ACTA
Date: Tue, 30 Jul 2013 19:42:37 +0200
From: JOSEFSSON Erik <erik.josefsson(a)europarl.europa.eu>
To: Verts/ALE - Groupe Politique, Mep et Assistants
<dl-verts-ale-all(a)europarl.europa.eu>
On *31 may 2011* we decided to support EDRi's request
<http://acta.mpbloggar.se/files/2011/05/ACTA_documents_release-1.pdf> to
the Parliament "that all relevant documents (drafts distributed by the
European Commission and associated briefing notes from the Commission)
received by the Parliament be published and/or communicated directly to
us as soon as possible."
On *7 February 2012* Dany and Rebecca did alert the President of the
European Parliament of complaints to the Ombudsman
<http://lists.act-on-acta.eu/pipermail/hub/2012-February/000085.html>
regarding access to ACTA-related documents (see our campaign wiki for
reference http://act-on-acta.eu/).
But the Parliament refused access, and EDRi consequently pursued its
Ombudsman complaint further.
The Ombudsman has now published it's conclusion with regards to EDRi's
complaint:
*There has been no maladministration by Parliament.*
But the Ombudsman also added a "Further remark" which should urgently
inform the current debate on transparency in the TTIP negotiations:
*Given that Parliament's application of Regulation 1049/2001 is
affected by commitments such as the one entered into by the
Commission in this case, Parliament, as a political body, could
intervene with the Commission and the Council with a view to
ensuring that, in future, the very nature of Parliament, which is
openly to deliberate on such issues, is not undermined.*
*Link:*
http://www.ombudsman.europa.eu/en/cases/decision.faces/en/50947/html.bookma…
It is clear from the complaint itself and the Ombudsman's further remark
that if the TTIP negotiation framework is not radically improved with
regards to present, *and future*, public access to documents, there is a
serious risk that the very nature of Parliament will be undermined.
As I see it, there are few realistic alternatives than to make
Predecisional/Deliberative Drafts available to the public between every
negotiation round.
<http://trade.ec.europa.eu/doclib/docs/2010/april/tradoc_146029.pdf>
That's the bitter lesson learnt from EDRi's ACTA complaint.
Best regards.

Hej Stefan,

Hanna
Hi David,
(CC a publicly archived list with DFRI people on it.)
We're discussing a couple of things regarding Flash proxy as part of
deciding what to tell our users about it.
One question that has popped up is how much bandwidth and CPU load one
should expect to be consumed by running it.
Another one is what security issues there could be as a result of
running a flash proxy.
Grateful for any insight on these. We need to let our users make an
informed decision.
Thanks,
Linus
Är den här sökmotorn bättre än nån annan?
Det börjar snurra en massa reklam för privacy-grejs som jag undrar är så
bra egentligen.
Nån som vet?

- The fact that Edward Snowden must seek the help of Putin, is a
disgrace to democracy. We expect the Polish authorities to comply with
the law, which requires verifying that the asylum seeker is not
subjected to torture and the death penalty - an open letter written by
Barbara Labuda, Joseph Pinior, Zbigniew Bujak and Wladyslaw Frasyniuk.
Former associate of the National Security Agency (NSA) Edward Snowden
revealed information about the program PRISM mass surveillance. Thanks
to the U.S. government controls the millions of e-mails, chat, messages
on social networking sites and chat. President Barack Obama defends that
PRISM is designed to counter-terrorism. Snowden also revealed that the
U.S. spy even his allies in the EU.
American living in Moscow's airport transit zone, because the U.S.
revoked his passport and chase him on charges of revealing a secret and
theft of state property. Snowden sent a request for asylum to 20
countries, including Polish. Democratic countries which are in alliance
with the United States refused him shelter. Adopt Snowden want to
Venezuela and Nicaragua, temporary asylum has granted him Russia.
American fears that the country he faces torture and the death penalty.
The expert on international affairs professor. Roman Kuz'niar considers
this a serious argument. Earlier asylum in Poland called for a lawyer
prof. Monika petal. Tuesday vote on the matter took four of the leading
communist opposition.
An open letter in defense of Edward Snowden:
Edward Snowden did not murder anyone, not kidnapped, not attacked, do
not blow up. It is, however, chased and cornered like a terrorist. Why?
Because revealed uncomfortable truths about the activities of the
authorities of his country. He revealed to the world that the U.S.
government regularly monitors the behavior of millions of its citizens
and citizens of through mass surveillance and wiretapping of telephone
conversations on Skype, Facebook, e-mails, chat rooms. Snowden
revelations exposed the ugly face of the American administration.
But also bared more: callousness, anxiety and hypocrisy of our own,
European democracy. At the request of political asylum Snowden, old and
new democracies showed his fig, hiding behind procedures, paragraphs and
ridiculous bureaucratic arguments.
Where was our commitment to civil liberties and human rights on which
democracies are facing, and which she says is our political class? But
Snowden, regardless of whether they had such intentions, has defended
ordinary citizens and citizens of tracked by pathologically expanding
surveillance system. It had to seek the help of an autocrat Putin is a
disgrace to democracy. The fact that only governments that have agreed
to give him shelter are dictatorial, it is a shame for the democracies.
Discredit themselves by showing indifference and political cowardice to
the case.
We expect the Polish authorities respect Polish law, which requires
verification that an applicant for asylum in any country comes from, it
is not exposed to torture and the death penalty. We expect the Polish
representatives and representatives of both the European Parliament and
in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to bring the
matter Snowden, appreciating his act and environment protection it
Europe's democratic institutions, called the defense and the promotion
of civil liberties and human rights.
